Hi! I am Desiree Collings. After 13 years as hostess for the popular local television program Real Estate Showcase, I am very excited to now be affiliated with Vine Property Group as a Realtor Associate. What sold me is their fresh approach to marketing and advertising, and most importantly, their commitment to great service, honesty and integrity in everything they do.

Upon graduating from the University of San Diego I joined my mother’s interior design firm in Redondo Beach, CA and studied with the New York School of Interior Design. I loved working with clients in the design field. Helping clients with their real estate goals is a natural transition and perfect fit for me.

You’ll find me to be very service oriented. My husband Jim founded Mentor Capital Management in Indian Wells, which helps me bring an investment perspective to my real estate clients.

Raised in Palos Verdes, CA by my Mom, an artist and designer, I was always surrounded by creativity and beauty.  I enjoy looking for the potential in a property and conveying that visualization to my clients. 

I know the valley well.  My understanding and intimate knowledge of our neighborhoods, country clubs and schools is especially helpful to out of town clients trying to narrow down the right neighborhood for them.

As Southern California natives, Jim and I have been married since 1985 and have lived full time in the desert for 16 years, raising our 3 children, all active athletes. While I have been fortunate to be able to “mostly” be a stay at home mom, I spent a good deal of time volunteering at Christian Schools of the Desert, Marywood Palm Valley School and the University of San Diego. Serving on assorted school boards, marketing committees and fund raising campaigns has been rewarding and challenging. I am grateful to have had the time to give to education.

Our family enjoys the outdoor lifestyle popular in our beautiful Coachella Valley…tennis, golf, hiking and hanging out in the pool on a raft!  We all share a love of our faith, reading, art, music and catching up on movies… especially when the temperatures go up!
